Another 250 Fort Carson soldiers received deployment orders Monday, bringing the number of soldiers heading overseas for a possible war with Iraq to 5,350.
The 360th Transportation Company; Company A, 52nd Engineer Battalion; and the 14th Public Affairs Detachment were deployed. They will serve under U.S. Central Command, which oversees operations in the Persian Gulf, Afghanistan and elsewhere.

The 360th Transportation Company provides bulk petroleum and transportation support. Company A, 52nd Engineer Battalion, part of the 43rd Area Support Group, builds roads, base camps and facilities and repairs airfields. The 14th Public Affairs Detachment provides troops with command information and media relations.
