The Seven Stages of Grieving, collaborated by Wesley Enoch and Dintrusive and murderous “white people.” In the Invasion poem, it dictates the events of a woman being raped whilst her mother is murdered and her children are taken away from her,
“One took a handful of my hair and led my head to their
knee… Together they ploughed my feet. My feet…. My
children stolen away… wrenched from familiar arms…
The protest of my mother’s mother cut short by a single
wave of a stick… Told not to what we have always done.”
