Waiting for Godot

Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett is a play in which not much happens. There is little action to the plot and no real climax. There are different aspects to the play and they're open to interpretation. The play opens with two men, Vladimir and Estragon, waiting for a man named Godot. They have never seen Godot but we know that he has an important message for them. Two more men, Pozzo and Lucky, enter, talk for a while with Vladimir and Estragon and then depart. A boy comes to tell the men the Godot is not coming today but that he will be there tomorrow. Act II is very similar to act I but Pozzo and Lucky are much older, Pozzo is blind, Lucky is dumb, and they do not remember Vladimir and Estragon. The boy also returns but does not remember.
