In this novel, Dickens reveals many different values and morals of life, or virtues. People have many different virtues such as kindness, generosity, regret, ambition, and most important, the virtue of friendship. There are many more virtues seen in “David Copperfield”, but friendship, kindness, and regret are three that stick out for me in this novel. The virtue of friendship is seen in many characters, but particularly through David and Steerforth. They are both friends on a different level.
