Violence on Television

Violence used to promote TV shows.
As I was flicking throw the television networks at home during the week, whether they were CBS, NBC or FOX, they all seemed to have the same purpose. That purpose was to promote their show with what society might call “interesting television” but in reality the networks were only portraying violence.
I watched a full episode of the television show Law and Order. At the end of the show after being attached to the television set for an hour, I was a little shocked as I stopped and realized that in this case Law and Order used minimal violence and used it in an appropriate context. The reality was that it only ended up showcasing the violence in the promotions before the show had aired to pursue the viewers in watching their show. This is a wrong approach for the networks.
