Bart and Cletus were playing kickball in the park one day, when all of a sudden Hubert and his buddies pulled up to the park and began to open fire. Bart and Cletus tried to run and dodge the bullets. They were both shot and killed instantly. Why are killings like this happening? Why do kids think that it is ok to show their violence and hurt others? And can or will it ever be stopped?
I believe that the killings among kids today is do to the evil that is in all people, according to the theme of William Goldwin's Lord of the Flies. The evil inside of young kids today is coming out more and more than in the past. And I think that it is due to the fact that many kids today have divorced or single parents, as a result kids may be joining or getting involved in trouble. With the absence of a parent or a broken home, kids are missing an authority figure. Without an authority figure kids have no one to tell them...
