The Vietnam War will forever be remembered as one of the United States or America’s unsuccessful military venture. No matter how you can explain it or twist the story the fact still remains that we just plain lost. We had no idea what we were getting into and for the first time is hundreds of years, we know how Great Britain felt. Although recessions are guaranteed to happen in the US economy, the Vietnam War accelerated the process. Economically the US was up against the wall even before the war.
