Vegetarian Diets

A strict vegetarian diet is healthy if well planned. By excluding animal foods from your diet and choosing appropriate, adequate substitutes, vegetarianism can be beneficial to your overall health and well-being.

Becoming a lacto-ovo-vegetarian is a process that involves completely removing meat, fish and poultry from your everyday meals and snacks and eating a large range of healthy plant foods on a daily basis. There are also three other kinds of vegetarians: Lacto-Vegetarian avoids meat, poultry, fish and eggs, Ovo-Vegetarian avoids meat, poultry, fish, milk, and milk products and lastly the Vegan, which is the strictest form, by having to avoid all foods of animal origin. The idea of removing meats from diets altogether is often seen as difficult, unhealthy or even inconvenient which is why most people continue to consume meats on a daily or nightly basis.
