First, Latinos are the fastest growing minority in all the major cities in the United States (New York, Los Angeles, Houston, San Diego, Phoenix, Dallas, and San Antonio). Therefore, Latinos have surpassed the population growth expectation. Also, Latinos have a big economic and political influence in the United States because they consist of a large number of consumers, and a lot more tax- payers. Also, Latinos are such an influence that salsa has become not only the fastest growing taste in the United States but also the fastest growing rhythm. Another, example of this impact is the population, it has almost doubled in number since the 1950’s.
