Unseen Poem: “Quarrel” By Diana Der Hovanessian

In this poem I can deduce that there is an atmosphere of tension and anger. The author wants to show us that the main character was very angry because he was waken up by “snaky noises”. This phrase represents an evil and negative connotation.
I believe that the main theme could be how did this character felt when he woke up. Also there is an important personification that shows us the atmosphere of the poem “angry dark”. This poem has a modern and general diction because the author does not describe things with lots of details. I think it is modern because it is written in a simply way and not in an old-style way.
