Two veriations

A Poet can Eloquently describes the great tragedy of young death. The Sorrowful tone of Seamus Heaneys “Mid Term Break,” describes the unexpected demise of the speaker’s four-year-old brother. While A.E. Housmans “To An Athlete Dying Young,” celebrates the life of an athlete whose time on earth was shortened as well. Housman chose to emphasize the life of the subject in his poem while Heaney focused on the irony of young death.
