Two Towns of Jasper

The documentary of Two Towns of Jasper reveals the racism that still exists in America. In 1998, in Jasper, Texas, James Byrd, Jr., a black man, was chained to the back of a pick-up truck and dragged to his death by three white men. In this documentary, it showed interview and conversation of the aftermath of this atrocity. It was very interesting hearing different view from blacks and whites. The significance of the title, Two Towns of Jasper, clearly shows two sides of the one city Jasper. The small town is segregated. There were many statements that were made in the film that signifies that the town is very isolated. Many in which I believe lead to an incident happening in a small town clearly existed.
