Two Tiered Health Care

The topic I have chosen to discuss is the two-tiered health system. I believe this system would be beneficial to all Canadians. At the present time, health care is not a federal issue. Our provincial governments run health care. The five principles that guide our health care are universality, accessibility, comprehensiveness, portability, and public administration. These principles are all under siege. Although, the public administration is facing the most scrutiny. Some provinces have considered allowing privatization due to the frustration caused by waiting lists for surgery, MRIs and other high-tech services in our health system.
At the time being, no province has allowed private insurers to offer a full range of medical services that would allow us Canadians to get our care privately. Although, there has been some push of it, they have not yet budged....
