Two Oranges for a Whole Family

As I take a look at this orange, a riddle comes to my mind, which I have been told a long time ago. “What does a half of the orange look like?” I remember saying everything that I thought of, but none of my answers were correct. It never came to my mind that the answer was as simple as “It looks like its other half.” Those were the times when I still lived in my country Kazakhstan. It’s been 7 years since then, but my life has completely changed, and the orange somehow reminds me of that change. I remember the time when an orange was a great value to me, and now that value has disappeared and I forgot about the hard times and problems I had when I still lived in my native country, and I became ungrateful.
I don’t exactly remember the first time I tasted the unforgettable, sweet flavor of an orange, but I can clearly visualize a day when my mom came home from the grocery store with a lot of bags in her hands. Everything was the same except for a bag with some kind of ...
