It is a date that I am sure everyone will remember, September 11, 2001. The disaster at the World Trade Center in New York City was certainly something I will never forget! I was at school, going to class when I heard other students talking about what had happened. Everyone was very upset. There was no TV available at the time and I had to wait till my class was over to see what was going on.
The student center at Penn State had a television and I went there after my class.
There were a lot of students watching what was happening. It didn’t seem real. I remember looking at the towers with so much smoke and flames. The news people were saying that planes had crashed into the towers. At that time nobody really knew what was going on or how many people would die that day.
