TV violence and how it affects lives

In our world today there are more televisions in home then ever before. A quote that I thought was pretty intriguing is that “There are more television sets in America than there are toilets”(Internet 1). In this day of age many people rely on television as a main source of information and entertainment. And since everyone watches television so much it obviously will have a strong influence on his or her lives. As the years have gone by TV has been airing more and more violent television shows. But by no means are only the TV shows at fault. Many promos and commercials make use of violence as well. Some different ways in which TV influenced people is that first of all it affects children at a young age. These children may not be affected right away by the violence but later in life it has been proven that the TV shows they watch will change their lives.
