Turning Pages

As we gather here today, celebrating this milestone in each and every one of our lives, we end yet another chapter in the book we know as life. However, this is far from normal books. This is not necessarily a book we read from cover to cover, but one that is told in sections, or sagas if you will, passed on from one ear to the next. Whether it is told to our siblings, children, friends, or just acquaintances, it is much too extravagant of a story to tell in one sitting. As boring as some of us may think our lives are, the story is more exciting than any fictional novel you can find. This is because it is reality. The pages are written day by day, month by month, and year by year. The course of the story can change at any moment, and no one knows when that moment could be. We can only live our lives to the fullest, and let the story write itself.
