Has anybody ever been made fun before because of something that this person has written before? Well, John Steinbeck has been made fun of because the critics did not like him. He did not see the world as they saw it and he didn’t tell them what they wished to hear. So, today, everyone will learn something about John Steinbeck that they didn’t know before. They will learn about his life and all of the books that he has written in all of his years.
John Steinbeck was born in Salinas, California in 1902 (“John” 1). He came from a family of moderate means (“John” 1). He had German and Irish parents (“John” 1). His father was John Steinbeck Sr.; he worked as the County Treasurer in Salinas and his mother, Olive Hamilton-Steinbeck, a former teacher, helped to introduce him to the art of reading and writing (“John” 1).
