Truth Seeking vs. Privilege Communication

“Half a truth is often a great lie.” Because I agree with Benjamin Franklin, I believe that we need the entire truth and nothing less. According to our founding fathers, for equal justice and fairness in the US Judicial System, we must have the right to seek out a complete truth in every case. Today I stand to affirm the resolution: In the US Judicial System truth seeking ought to take precedence over privileged communication. To clarify the resolution, I will provide the following definitions.

TS is collecting relevant information to determine guilt or innocence in the court of law.
Ought is a moral obligation.
Precedence is priority claimed or received because of superiority or importance.
PC are statements made that by law keep people who have relevant information from testifying at trials.
