Trip to Senate


My trip to senate together with my 202D classmates was very thrilling. I never knew the location of the Senate House not until last October 8, 2002. I was very anxious to go to the Senate Building. It was my first time to be there and to see how our senators proceeded with a session.
Inside the Session Hall, I’ve noticed three symbols of authority: Seal of the Senate, the Mace of the Senate and the gavel. The seal symbolizes the function of the Senate. The mace is the symbol of authority of the Senate. The mace is an essential part of the symbol of the Senate. Without it, the Senate is not considered to be properly constituted.
