trades history

Source G is a militia list that shows data of the different occupations people had in 1761 and in 1780. Both lists contain certain occupations and businesses that require certain skills such as a barber, plumber and an apothecary. Those jobs would require the knowledge to perform such trades and so the people living in Fore Street must have had the education to learn such skills.
Source Q is a plan of Hatfield in 1780. On the map it shows Fore Street and lists the names of businesses and trades which run along the road. Again there is a lot of skilled workers and some businesses, which would only have customers that were fortunate enough to use the trade...
