Toxic Working Conditions
There is a long history of discrimination and inequality in the United States, especially in the work place. Studies performed on African Americans, minorities, and low-income people in the work place have shown that the often toxic working conditions and dangers these people are exposed to result in environmentally-induced diseases and illnesses. The results of exposure to physical and chemical hazards can go so far as disability and even death. Although there is plenty of blame to go around, the majority should be placed on the management of these industries and corporations (and possibly the political leaders of these districts) whose negligence and irresponsibility place many lives in unsafe working conditions, all due to the tremendous desire of making a profit without caring for the well being of their employees.
