Tom and Huck Character Ananlysis

Huck and Tom… Different, Yet the Same
In Mark Twain’s Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, Tom Sawyer, a young adventurous boy with a wild imagination, and Huck Finn, also an adventurous boy, are best friends and overcome many obstacles throughout their friendship. Although both boys share a lot in common, they are also very different.
For example, Huck loves the outdoors and being able to run free. He can’t stand being cooped up in the widow’s house, and being clean all the time and going to bed at certain times. Huck is very superstitious, and goes about things in a very orderly manner. For instance, in chapter 4 Huck spills a saltcellar at the table, and because its “bad luck” he must throw some salt over his shoulder. However, Miss Watson quickly stops him.
