What will it take to succeed?

I spent some time over the weekend talking with two fairly new members of this company. For the most part, I think that these conversations confirmed my assumptions about the proper mind-set needed to approach this job. As is true of many jobs, but perhaps more so with a sales-type position, I cannot expect to get back more than I put in. The willingness and discipline to come in early and leave late will be essential if I want to succeed here. Another aspect of this position that I will need to learn is resilience.
