To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee is a story about people in a small town named Maycomb that is located in the southern United States. The entire story is based on the slow pace of life in the south and how tradition influences how all the characters behave. The story involves an attorney named Atticus Finch and his immediate family that includes his son Jem, daughter Scout and their friend Dill.
