To Hunt or Not to Hunt?

Hunting has been a way of life for centuries. Abolishing it would have a devastating effect on society. Putting a stop to hunting would limit valuable sources of food for many people. In addition, it would end a popular recreational activity, an old age tradition, and a necessary way of life.
The most common criticisms of hunting are that it is cruel and inhumane, and that it violates the rights of the animals. Critics of hunting think of hunting see the animals either suffering in a trap, or being inhumanly killed. They also see hunting as a threat to the environment because of garbage left behind by some careless hunters. Furthermore, they argue that animals are becoming extinct or endangered because of hunting. Although this may have been the case many years ago, when countless people had to hunt to survive, this is not the case now.
