To Commit a Speech Sin

To Commit a Speech Sin

Everyone, at some point in their lives, commits the ultimate speech or communication sin, also known as, “open mouth-insert foot” syndrome. Some of the worst cases might even experience the mishap of accidentally committing that scene, but with action. Oh the humanity of it! Now you’re probably wondering why I am telling you all this, but there is a method to my madness. Who says these “speech sins” are accidents? Believe it or not, there are people in the world who do these things every day and purposely at that. (They most likely have no friends….guessing.) I will portray two personal scenes: the first, the verbal sin, in which a good friend of mine was talking to the guy of her dreams and I proceeded to open mouth-insert foot, the second, the non-verbal sin will be described by a trip to New Orleans I made when I was fifteen. Hopefully, what I will describe will not only shock you, but keep you from suffering the same misfortune...
