To Be Yourself

Many young Americans feel the need to be accepted by their peers. People change their clothing style, the manner in which they converse, and the people whom they associate themselves with, just to ‘fit-in.’ This social problem has deprived many young Americans of their individuality and the social skills needed to function. A overwhelming amount of young people are obsessed with fitting into some kind of ‘clique.’ Insecurities plague the minds of our youth; being an individual would make them feel comfortable within themselves. I encourage everyone to step outside there ‘clique’ and be a real person.
