To Be a Monster:Do You Really Have To Have A Hideous Appearance ?

What is a monster? Before diving in head first, one must define the word. A Monster is a frightening creature someone abnormally cruel; a deformed organism; something very large.# It is clear that the creature; Victor Frankenstein made could easily be classified as such, simply from the definition. There are other monsters in the novel, however they don't quite fit the definition of the word perfectly. The two other monsters in the novel are people that should be feared. They should not be feared because of the physical threat they pose, but their lack of care for man in general. Frankenstein and Walton are both people completely concerned with fame, and their precious ego's. There are major events in the later parts of the novel that illustrate their lack of care for man, but at the same time subtle hints into their real personality in the very beginning.
