TITRATION



AIM: Ammonium sulphate is a fertilizer, which is made from ammonia solution (an alkali) and sulphuric acid by neutralization. The aim is to make Ammonium sulphate and to get a calculation of yield that is produces.

MATERIALS AND METHOD:

Materials used:
· Conical flask
· Burette
· Pipette filler
· Litmus
· Ammonium pipette (2.5 ml)
· Bunsen burner
· Tripod
· Gauzes
· Matt
· Evaporating dish

Method:

· I added 25 cm3 of ammonia solution to the conical flask. I Added 2-3 drops of litmus solution to the flask.
· I carefully filled the burette with acid, working over a sink. I noted the first burette reading.
