Timing All Cures

“Mary Jane? Honey are you here?”
No one answered, she was still not home from the doctor’s office. It was the first time she had gone to the doctor so I knew that in the year 1994 I would be working at that time.
“I’m safe for a short while,” I sighed as I glanced at my watch.
“I have about an hour to explain myself. It could take days to clarify this.”
Just then, sure enough she came through the door hysterical.
“Brent, oh Brent! I’m so glad you’re here. I went to the doctor today and, and, and, oh lord I can’t believe this is happening! And, and, and, and they said I was sick and I should eat better, and rest more, and these tests I have to do, and oh my all the money! How will we ever get through this? How will I ever get through this? What if I don’t?”
“Mary Jane listen! Just try to sit and calm down.”
