Session 5: The Three Domains of Learning.
Setting objectives.

This session helped me to see the difference between Aims and Objectives 1 and how I applied them to my teaching notes thus far. Encouragingly, only slight modifications were required.
With reference to the Learning Domain the words Cognitive 1, Psychomotor 1 and Affective 1 were familiar to me, but I would not have associated them with teaching in this way. After the words being explained to us I could see that my teaching subject i.e. Building a Computer, would have to stimulate the student in a practical way, using elements of imitation, practice and habit. Both psychomotor and to a lesser degree the cognitive domain should characterize the future approach to my lessons to achieve the desirable outcome.
