Thomas Waltson: A biography

Thomas Waltson was born on the 15th November 1958, in Bangour Hospital, which was in Bathgate. He grew up in a small village called Breich, near West Calder, with his mother Sarah, and his father, Thomas.
As a child, Thomas attended Woodmuir primary school, which was one of the smallest schools in the area, with only forty pupils and two classrooms. He went on to West Calder High School, but left after fourth year with no qualifications at all.
When he was sixteen years old he became an apprentice spray-painter, but decided after six months to become an apprentice engineer. After these two apprenticeships he went on to join the army.
