Nature of Conflict

David is a sophomore at Texas State University. This is his second year living on campus. He is bothered by many different dilemmas of on campus living. David has had a few run in?s with his Resident Assistants and also finds himself often in disagreements with his roommate. Though he doesn?t yet have enough credit hours to live off campus, he does have a high enough grade point average for the school to allow him to move off campus for the Spring 2004 semester. The only problem he is faced with now is that his mother Laura is afraid that if David moves off campus for the spring semester his grades will drop because of his excessive partying and irresponsible attitude. Laura feels David will have trouble because he has already received two citations for Minor in Possession of Alcohol within the past eight months. David is about to bring up a few points on his behalf to see if he can get Laura...
