Likes and Dislikes Essay

For the most part I enjoyed “Things They Carried.” I liked how lieutenant Cross’s own love story within the story and how it effected him and his men. I also liked the depiction of men’s true feelings and character regarding the war. The front that the soldiers put up is described and broken down in paragraph forty. Another aspect of the story that I like was the comradery that the troops displayed between one another. The few things that did not appeal to my reading tastes were how the story went from past to present. I did not feel that that type of style of writing impacted the story or was even relevant.
