Theory Paper

This paper I am going to present to you is about Systems Theory and how it affects me and my family. System defined is set of parts or objects that are structured and interrelated, forming a unique whole in an environment. It is set apart by a boundary. Usually, systems are open rather than closed. An open system has exchange with the environment. A closed system does not have exchange with the environment. There are different levels of systems viewed on a continuum. These levels are 1-static structure, 2-simple dynamic, 3-cybernetic control, 4-self-mintanence, 5-biological “plants”, 6-biological “animals”, 7-human, 8-social, and 9-transcendental.
There are seven characteristics of systems. The first characteristic of a system is wholeness (1) where the whole is greater than the sum of the individual parts. An example of this is at my work.
