The Wizard of Oz

When was the last time you saw a classic film that not only you enjoyed when you were younger, but one you could also watch with your children and their children’s children? Sure, there is more than just one to choose from, but mostly everyone has seen The Wizard of Oz at least once. The Wizard of Oz is a timeless story originally written by L. Frank Baum and turned into a full-length film by director Victor Fleming in 1939. Oz is timeless due to the directorial skills used within it, the quality of acting and the use of symbolism, which can be used to teach the simple lesson: there’s no place like home.
The story is about a small-town Kansas girl named Dorothy who wants to run away after her dog Toto is almost taken away from her by the evil Miss Gulch . During her trek to leave, she runs into someone she believes will be able to tell her what the future holds.
