The Wedding Cake

It was 1789 in France and all over the peasants were dying of malnutrition due to the inadequate wages that they were paid from the French nobility. The peasants were alone in their fight because all they had going for them was the want to change their conditions. The people had nothing to fight back with and were helpless against the nobility. And it wasn’t as if the nobility didn’t know of the poor conditions that the peasants all across France had. The nobility just decided to keep the same conditions as before and move on with their lives. The peasants also accepted this condition and either were forced to become nomads and search for any job they could find or work on a noble’s land.
So one day, as Jacques Bontecou was making his usually walk from Paris to Troyes in hope of finding work, he came across a wedding cake in the middle of the road. He wondered how the cake got there and stood staring out at the cake for about three minutes just thinking to himself. Then the ans...
