The war between the classes

Summary

The book deals with the Japanese girl Amy, whose boyfriend Adam is an affluent white boy. The story shows the conflict between different classes and races. At school Amy and Adam have to stay faithful to each other while their class play the color game. Everybody gets a different color that symbolizes a special rank in society. Some pupils have the jobs of the police, who takes care that everybody observe the rules and have to punish them for disobedience. It is hard for many because they are only allowed to spend time with people of the same color and the lower colors must show respect for the higher colors.
