The Wanderings of a Hero

In Homer’s epic poem The Odyssey, Odysseus is a hero of great cunning and tenacity.
One sign of Odysseus’ great cunning is during the Trojan War. He tells his army to build a giant horse as a gift of victory and secretly hides men in it in order to get inside the walls of Troy. The Spartans accept the gift with honor. When inside Troy, the men hidden in the horse come out and open the gates for the invasion of Troy. The Greeks win this battle ending the war. Also, Odysseus comes to an island with a Cyclops. He and his army get trapped in a cave with Polyphemus, the Cyclops. Polyphemus asks what the man’s name is, and Odysseus cunningly tells him Nohbdy....
