The urbanisation in Santiago and its surrounding areas

Urbanisation is the process by which the number of people living in the cities increases compared with the number of people living in rural areas. There has been a great impact of urbanisation in lots of cities all over the world. These are mainly the poor cities, where there is natural increase. This is where the birth rate is much higher than the birth rate. Another reason is urban migration. This is when people move from the countryside to the city in hopes of a better life for themselves and their family.
One of these cities who have had a great impact of urbanisation is Santiago, Chile and its surroundings. The picture above shows the portion of Chile around its capital city, Santiago.
