The Truths of Our Marriage

Married life is an opportunity every person should have the chance to experience. It is full of joys, laughter, pain, and many other unforgettable moments. In all reality, marriage can be very hard-won as well as time consuming. My wife and I are one of 20,019 married couples in the military. We are both enlisted members of the United States Air Force, who work in the same unit on rotating shifts. We see each other at work all the time but we are seldom at home together. Chores around the house are shared. Whoever is home at the time will do the cleaning, cooking, and any other household business that needs to be done. To accomplish all of these tasks successfully we must value caring, communication, compromise, and time apart.
