Chapter 1-The Legend

This chapter gave a great overview of what the fires were like in the Tillamook area. It allowed me to see a perspective that I would not have otherwise known. The descriptions of the fire were very engaging and well thought out. August 14th 1933 marked history. Ten days later it was still burning strong and had encompassed 40,000 acres.
