The Technology of the Digital Camera

When it was time for me to pick a topic for my research paper, I did not have to

think very long about what I wanted to do it on. I immediately thought I should research

digital cameras. A couple of months ago I went out to dinner with some friends. One of

my friends brought her digital camera with her. I liked the idea that after she took a

picture with the digital camera she could view the image immediately on the cameras

small monitor. After viewing the picture she could save it or erase it. I don’t own a digital

camera and I did not know anything at all about them, until I chose this topic. I wanted to

know more about them and the advantages, disadvantages and differences between

different digital cameras. I was also curious about how long they have been around

because I don’t know anybody that has one. I also wondered how they work, are they

complicated? There was so much I wanted to find out.
