The Taming of the shrew is a play within a play. The play takes place in the city of Padua. There are several characters in this play some of these characters are Lucentio and Petrucio who are determine to marry two sisters Bianca and Katherine, their so called love is so strong for these two sisters that they appear to be people who they are not. In this play written by William Shakespeare he uses appearance as a tool to obtain love and marriage from Katherine and Bianca using the characters of Lucentio and Petrucio. Could love and the desire of marriage be so strong that will lead you to lie about your appearance to the one you love or the one you wish to marry? Well, that is what happens in this play.
