The Straphanger Campaign

The New York Public Research Group founded the Straphanger Campaign in the late 1970’s due to the poor transit conditions. As a result, there has been great progress in the subway system but on the other hand, this organization is not recalling how the subway system got to this improvement.
In 2001, the Straphanger Campaign reports, “the subways are improving, fewer breakdowns, more regular service, and cleaner cars,” (Russianoff 1). These report findings were determined on the best subway line, the worse subway line, the overall improvement, productivity, and mechanical failure. Once this report is finish, the organization evaluates it with the report from the year before to see the differences.
