The Storm

I guess I’m not normal. Most normal, well adjusted high schoolers yearn for the day they can leave the school bus behind and get behind a wheel of their own.. Upon entering high school, they’d watch the upper-classmen glide in and out of the student parking lot, looking
desperately out of the big yellow school bus window. If only they knew. All throughout high school I had no problem riding the “government cheese on wheels” as my bus mates would call it. I knew the glorious responsibilities or better yet, the immense troubles of having an automobile. I gloried in my time of effortless travel—but not for long. The day didcome when I graduated from high school and entered college for the first time. Igot my license and with it a 1990 Geo Storm. From the moment I turned on the ignition I knew this would be a ride I would never forget.
