The increase in adolescent males committing violent acts such as, muggings, burglaries, drive by, and school shootings in the past few years is astonishing. Why are these adolescent male crimes becoming more and more apparent as each day passes? Researchers, psychologists, professors, students, writers, and the general public alike, have been trying to find the cause(s) for the adolescent male violence epidemic that is sweeping the nation. I believe that the rapid increase in adolescent male violence we are witnessing today, is not stemming from one single factor such as violence in the media (films, television, video-games, the Internet, magazines, newspapers, books, etc.), or the neighborhoods which people live in, but a combination of factors that are far more complex, and perhaps even harder to grasp.
