The smokers right to smoke

One of the most controversial issues in today’s society is smoking. Millions do it and more than that don’t. Why would you want to smoke, with multiple hazards and risks to your own body, and even risks it poses to others around you? Is it really worth all the trouble that it causes in the long run?
Smoking is a habit that roughly twenty-five percent of Americans are addicted to (MayoClinic). It has become an aspect of life for those who do smoke, yet a supposed burden on those who do not practice this every day ritual. It has become the bases for the smoker’s social life. It can now days almost be considered a meal to most who indulge in the fiery smoke. Tell them it will kill them and they will laugh at you. Try to take that little tube that brings sanity into their lives from them and they will fight you. Why would you want to take their one true love from them?
