The Single Most Important Thing I Have Learned All Semester

It is not everyday someone is asked, “What is the single most important thing you have learned?” To me, this is one of the hardest questions to answer. Consider the famous quote, “You learn a new thing everyday.” Personally many individuals, especially college students, learn far beyond one new thing daily – more like one hundred. Of course, some things a person learns are more important than others, but that still leaves about ten thousand new things in one semester. This question asks to choose one. As I sit here and ponder all that I have learned, from school material to living with roommates to prioritizing to time management to communication skills, etc., I narrowed my choices down. I have chosen one thing that I believe to be the most significant, important, and influential thing I have learned not only this semester, but probably in my entire life.
